Marcelo Donnini Freire

President Director

Extensive experience in the environmental, public management, and business sectors. He served as Director of External Resources, National Secretary for Climate Change and International Relations, and Secretary for the Amazon and Environmental Services at the Ministry of the Environment. He led negotiations at COP 25, COP 26, and COP 27, acting as Brazil’s focal point with the UNFCCC. He is the author and coordinator of the Guidelines for a National Strategy for Climate Neutrality and the National Methane Reduction Program (Zero Methane Program). He was a member of the Steering Committee of the National Hydrogen Program and president of CONAREDD (National Commission for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation). He currently serves as the facilitating focal point in Brazil for the UN Climate Change Global Innovation Hub, organizing events and engaging stakeholders. He maintains key relationships and is actively involved in shaping environmental public policies, engaging the public sector, private sector, and both national and international actors.

Environmental manager and postgraduate student in sustainability with over 24 years of experience in the field. In the private sector, he worked at PWC and KPMG, and is the founder of Vivens Business School and YvY Capital, initiatives focused on the transition to a green economy.

Juliana Rolla de Leo

Vice-President

Juliana Rolla is a PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering, holds an MBA in Corporate Finance, and a degree in Foreign Trade. She has completed several sustainability courses in Europe. Throughout her 20-year international career, she has established herself in the market as a sustainability and territorial development strategist, designing and developing business models capable of generating value for stakeholders. Her first experience in the carbon market was in 2004, in Europe — where she lived for over a decade — during the first phase of the Kyoto Protocol. Since then, she has been developing projects, negotiating carbon credits, and other environmental assets.

In 2009, she founded Eco Business Solutions, and in 2021, as part of a development strategy, she founded Instituto Sigma, a Science and Technology Institute (ICT). Based on the consolidated experience with Eco, she structured a new business model and led a fundraising round to launch OMA Ativos Ambientais S.A., of which she is co-founder and CEO. She is also a member of the European Scientific Technical Committee of RemTech Europe.

Christian Zamaro

Born in Switzerland, with over 30 years of solid international experience in delivering robust solutions for industrial assembly performance, piping systems, welding, inspection, and both industrial and civil piping. He has worked with large multinational companies delivering projects for industries such as steel, chemical, pulp and paper, aluminum, among others.

Strategic management of interfaces and resources, including clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary work groups; process development and efficiency management in fast-paced environments requiring high levels of interaction.

Coordination of internal and external resources, ensuring projects stay within scope, cost, and schedule; collaboration with cross-functional teams; project progress analysis and reporting to senior management to ensure teams adhere to project requirements; establishment and maintenance of relationships with client stakeholders, providing daily updates on project status and changes.

Throughout his career, he has worked across various continents — Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa — implementing piping systems in compliance with international standards and procedures (ISO, UNI, ASME, NAS, or other client-required norms), collaborating with people of diverse ethnic backgrounds, easily integrating and acquiring broad experience in diverse environments, while developing strong adaptability to local cultural differences.

Roberta Cox

Advisor

Director for COP 30 at the Global Renewables Alliance (GRA) and Brazil Policy Director at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). With 14 years of experience in federal environmental licensing as a career civil servant at IBAMA, she is currently on leave from the Institute.

During her tenure at IBAMA, she worked as an environmental analyst in the environmental licensing department for various project types (electric power generation, linear infrastructure, and oil and gas). She also held positions as: Coordinator of Environmental Licensing for Ports and Maritime Structures at IBAMA and Special Advisor to the Minister of the Environment.

Adriano Mello

Advisor

Biologist and Master in Environmental Sciences from the University of Sydney, Australia.

With 20 years of experience, she has solid technical knowledge in Environment and Climate, having supported companies from various sectors in defining strategies and management programs related to these topics.

She has worked in national and international consultancies, in the industrial sector and financial market. Her experience includes roles at global companies such as ERM, WayCarbon, Braskem, and Pátria Investimentos, where she held strategic positions in the sustainability agenda. She is currently responsible for technical content at Vivens.

Marta Giannichi

Advisor

Biologist, Master in Biodiversity and Conservation, and PhD in Market Mechanisms for the Conservation of Tropical Forests from the University of Leeds – UK.

She served as Climate Affairs Advisor to the CEO of BNDES and is a former National Secretary for the Amazon and Environmental Services at the Ministry of the Environment.

She is the Executive Director of MyCarbon, a company within the Minerva group, and also serves as the group’s Sustainability Director.

Danile Zuin

Advisor

Environmental, Sanitation, and Occupational Safety Engineer, with an MBA in Sustainable Development and Circular Economy.

With over 20 years of experience in projects focused on efficient management of quality, occupational health and safety, environment, and sustainability.

Specialist in the application of corporate risk management methodologies, with direct involvement with boards of directors. Consultant and advisor in green strategies, lead auditor in international sustainability standards.

She is also part of the faculty in postgraduate programs.

Maria Rita Zampieri

Environmental, Sanitation, and Occupational Safety Engineer with a Master’s degree in Geosciences and Environment and a postgraduate degree in Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation in Engineering.
Consultant in sustainability strategies and lead auditor in management systems.
